The
October outing at the Sycamore RV Resort in Sycamore,
The Morris’, Russell and Schori’s arrived on Friday and the
Talbott’s and Thomas’ arrived Saturday morning.
All the other attendees had arrived on Thursday.
Those that arrived on Thursday had dinner at Ruby Tuesday’s.
Friday we had breakfast at Egg Haven and then went
shopping at Farm & Fleet, Walmart and some went to a
Saturday morning we had coffee, sweet rolls and coffee cake.
Saturday some went to the Elwood House museum.
It was the 19th century house of a barb wire
tycoon. Saturday evening
because of the cold we had dinner inside the laundry room.
It was a little tight but we were warm.
Dinner was Jamaican Chicken (it was very tasty) and
salads, vegetables and desserts made by the attendees.
We also served warm spiced apple cider.
After dinner we stayed warm next to a campfire.
Sunday morning we had sweets and coffee.
Friday it was cold and rained most of the day.
Friday night it was in the upper 20’s.
On Sunday when Ron Olsen closed his front slide we heard
a crunch and noticed ice coming off the slide topper.
I then went up on my roof and discovered that my front
slide had ice which I then pushed off with a broom.
At the Saturday dinner Al Talbott, as FMCA’s representative,
presented the Chariots president with a “10 Year Anniversary
Certificate”. The Cruisin
Chariots FMCA Chapter was formed on May 29, 1999.
The hosts for this campout were the Ellsworth’s and Holecek’s.
We appreciated all the help we received in setting up the
laundry room for dinner, starting the campfire and because of
the rain and cold being very helpful and understanding.
Friends are great.
The Christmas Dinner
will be held on December 13th at Venuti’s on
Your
President
